spirituality
Our spirituality is Dominican.
Mother Gérine wished the religious Congregation she founded would share in the grace of the charism of Saint Dominic who desired a Family totally dedicated to the preaching of Truth for the salvation of his brothers and sisters.
Mother Gérine pointed us to Saint Catherine of Siena, as our mother and teacher, the one who best embodied the Dominican charism; she desired that her daughters would imitate her tender and daring charity.
Mother Teresa Solari, foundress of the Dominican Sisters of the Little House of Divine Providence, was a contemporary of Mother Gérine and, like her, she dedicated herself in a special way to charity towards the poorest, in particular orphans, nurturing an unwavering trust in Providence.
Our Congregation has inherited from Mother Teresa Solari the legacy of her educational-social work in favor of those – in particular boys and girls, but not only – who today live in situations of hardship at all levels; furthermore, it has initiated the canonization process which is still ongoing.
