Our identity as Dominican Sisters of Saint Catherine of Siena is expressed in the charism given by God to our Foundress Mother Gérine Fabre.
Mother Gérine, contemplating the Virgin of Pity who has the dead and abandoned Jesus in her arms, received the charism of showing the maternal face of the Father’s Mercy and embodies it in the footsteps of Saint Catherine, in the wake traced by Saint Dominic.

With hands always outstretched towards every kind of weakness and misery, she gave her life to the very end, so that every person might know that they are loved by God of Truth who liberates and saves.

Mother Gérine’s gift of compassion finds expressed today in different vocations (Const n.9). Sisters and lay people, sons and daughters of Mother Gérine, rooted in the Church and inserted in the world, like Dominic and Catherine we carry into the present their ardent desire to contemplate and proclaim the Mercy of the Father.
