SUMMARY:Visit of the Prioress General to the community of Trois-Rivières (Guadeloupe)
DESCRIPTION:From 27 February to 15 March 2026\, the Prioress General and Sr Paulina Ogbonnaya visited our community in Trois Rivières\, Guadeloupe. \n\n\nThe community currently is composed of 12 sisters\, 4 of whom are very elderly and bedridden. This does not\, however\, prevent the community from continuing to live out Mother Gérine’s charism in Guadeloupe. \n\n\nThe visit to the community was an opportunity to share daily life and the mission with the sisters\, to have community meetings for formation and exchange\, and to support the Prioress in her service. \n\n\nSr Viviana and Sr Paulina also took part in the various activities the sisters carry out: the animation of the weekly Mass in the house chapel\, moments of prayer with the people of the parish\, and a meeting with the group of lay people who meet periodically and are interested in deepening their understanding of Mother Gérine’s charism. Finally\, two sisters continue to carry out some activities in the parish of the nearby town of Capesterre\, where we had a community in the past. \n\n\nSr Viviana e sr Paulina visited the two schools in Le Moule for which the Congregation is responsible (la Tutelle) : the “St. Joseph” primary school and the Collège- Lycée “St. Dominique”. \n\n\nFinally\, there was a fruitful meeting with the Bishop of Guadeloupe – Monsignor Philippe Guiougou – with whom we discussed the future of religious life in Guadeloupe and\, specifically\, that of our community.

SUMMARY:Sr Lara Morelli (Assistant General) visits the community in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain)
DESCRIPTION:From 11 to 16 March 2026\, Sr Lara Morelli visited the community in Jerez to meet the sisters and share with them the life and mission of the community. \n\n\nThe community is composed of three sisters – Sr Arantza (on the right in the photo)\, Sr Pilar (in the centre) and Sr Maria-Jesus (on the left). They live in a neighbourhood – San Telmo – outskirts of the city of Jerez; a poor neighbourhood\, with a high number of elderly and lonely people\, but also characterised by problems such as unemployment and drug trafficking. The sisters simply share their daily lives with the people\, stand by their side and actively participate in the life of the parish community. \n\n\nSr Arantza\, prioress of the Jerez community\, tells us: “We thank Sr Lara for spending time with us. We shared moments together\, exchanged information\, prayed and enjoyed a walk along the beach and in the countryside. We took part in the Way of the Cross in the neighbourhood\, organised by a parish group. The texts referred to places at war\, invoking peace. Sunday was a day of prayer for peace\, just as Sister Viviana had suggested.”
