TROIS-RIVIÈRES
COMMUNITY DEPENDENT ON THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT
The community of Trois-Rivières in Guadeloupe it is currently composed of thirteen sisters, five of whom are very elderly and therefore bedridden.
Until 2024 in Guadeloupe there were two communities that formed the “Marie Reine” Delegation; With the gradual decline in strength, mainly due to the advanced age and illness of the sisters, one community was closed and consequently the Delegation was suppressed.
The community of Trois Rivières is spread across two houses, one of which is equipped to welcome and care for sick sisters; a third building is the Chapel of Saint Dominic, where Mass is celebrated once week and is open to the parish community. The Chapel and the surrounding spaces are also suitable for hosting retreats for large groups.
With regard to apostolic activity, the community collaborates in pastoral initiatives with the nearby parishes of Capesterre Belle-Eau, Goyave, Trois-Rivières and Les Saintes; the sisters in general ensure presence and offer service to children, young people, families; furthermore, they participate in the various bodies that coordinate the parish life and activities
In Le Moule, in particular, there are two school buildings where one sister is responsible for “Tutelle” of the charism and for teaching the catechism.
Finally, the community journeys together with a group of lay people who wish to know and deepen the charism of the Congregation.
